Nearly a century ago, with twenty pearls it began,
our purpose was set forth, even way back then.
A chance to make a change in a world of gray--
Adding color, dignity, style and finesse,
women of merit and culture exuding their best.
Today we stand strong in our effort to maintain
the same ideals as those before us, for mankind to gain.
To heighten a community with leadership, motivation and support,
with a legacy behind propelling us to go forth.
We cherish the experience gained from others on this road,
and today we emerge to lighten the load.
This day our sorority triumphs as a whole
as another humble lamb enters the fold.
When asked our purpose we just smile and simply say,
"It's none other than the SPIRIT OF AKA!"
